In May of 2009 Painting By Dennis had reached a rather important milestone, their reputation preceded them and they frequently received more calls and request for quotes, and estimates and contract bids than they could handle. Originally founded as a one man company in 2001, the company had grown to several employees. This rapid growth left them with needs regarding client management and of course marketing and attracting new clients.
Yoko Consulting was brought on board to help them address these needs. And of course, they needed to be completed within 6 weeks, to make a good impression on an upcoming contract custodian. The Yoko Consulting team used existing templates with fresh imagery and from scratch copy to build the company a website and launch it quickly.
Yoko Consulting was also tasked with developing an automated client management system that would not only assist in screening and qualifying incoming leads and request, but also enable Painting By Dennis staff to respond and react swiftly. To address this issue Yoko Consulting created a customized addition to the back end of the site through the estimate page that would automatically screen leads and place them in different categories that are automatically routed to various divisions within the company. From immediately required residential estimate request to more involved commercial RFP submissions. This routing system not only eliminated request being ignored, or responded to multiple times, it also decreased response time and increased employee efficiency.
Finally, Yoko Consulting addressed the marketing issues Painting By Dennis had encountered. Through a partnership with an express signage company, and a direct mail company, Painting By Dennis evolved from having no cohesive marketing strategy to a multi-platform plan that covered interactive and mobile media, outdoor signage and advertising as well as direct mail and corporate partnerships. As of November of 2009, this strategy increased incoming request by over 20% and showed a return on investment within 3 months.
